“If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. … We need not wait to see what others do.”
NOTE: Frequently misquoted—especially on bumper stickers—more succinctly as “Be the Change you wish to see in the World.”
Before you get on with your post-election life, you may find this article about Charles Darwin gets 4,000 write-in votes in Georgia amusing.

Now on to this week’s sites. This week, I’m sending out three ‘Site of the Week’ recommendations.
This is a cool and free e-mail reminder service. Just compose an email and include [schedule format]@followupthen.com (e.g. ¦firstname.lastname@example.org) in the address field to receive a follow-up after the time interval you specify including recurring reminders. Premium users can add “-sms” to their follow-ups to receive text message reminders. You can cancel a reminder simply by sending an e-mail to email@example.com. You’ll receive an email back with a list of pending follow-ups and links to cancel any reminders.
There are plenty of hotel and travel search sites, but this one is different. Pick a city. Pick your dates. DealAngel shows you only hotels offering the highest value for your money. Another difference is DealAngel shows you the best deals, but doesn’t handle the booking. Instead, they should detailed information including taxes and fees and when you select a deal, you are given options on where to purchase that specific offer with direct links to the booking site.
This site feature s regular, app-only and pop-up deals are all automatically sent to your phone as well as local events. Android, Blackberry and iPhone apps are available. The only drawback is that only 13 major cities are currently featured so it may be of interest if you have to be living in or visiting one of those locations but otherwise not.
