Factoid: U.S. defense spending soared from $287 billion in 2001 to more than $700 billion in 2010 and 2011, including the supplemental costs for Iraq and Afghanistan.

Truth or Fiction

There’s a good chance you’re familiar with Snopes (http://www.snopes.com/). It’s a popular site and was featured in my July 16, 2011 Sites of the Week. Truth or Fiction is a similar clearinghouse for easily confirming the truth about rumors, virus warnings, hoaxes, scams, urban legends and other forwarded emails.
