Now on to this week’s sites. This week, I’m sending out three ‘Site of the Week’ recommendations.

This site raises money for public school teachers who post classroom project needs. This site makes it easy to help students and you know exactly where your money goes. You’ll receive photos of the project, a letter from the teacher and an explanation of how your donation was spent.

Cool Climate Network

This site features UC Berkeley’s Carbon Footprint Calculator. This tool enables you to calculate your carbon footprints followed by recommendations to reduce your footprint and at the same time save money.

Uber is a venture-funded startup company based in San Francisco, California that makes Android and iPhone mobile apps that connects passengers with drivers of vehicles for hire. The app enables you to enter your pickup and drop-off locations to get a fare quote for your trip, reserve a car and track its location. Uber uses your phone’s GPS to detect your location and connects you with the nearest available driver. Once you arrive at your destination, your fare is automatically charged to your credit card on file and a receipt is emailed to you. Uber is available in 28 U.S. cities and 19 countries.
