A new poll conducted by NBC News and Esquire shows an increase in Americans who don’t align themselves along party lines and fall somewhere in the middle of the political spectrum. In Congress, 21% on the far left and 28% on the far right, but among Americans a slight majority at 51% are in the center. Take the survey yourself and see where you fall.

New Airline Seats

Perhaps you already heard about this. I really didn’t think it was possible, but the airlines are reducing the amount of seating space. Several airlines are replacing current seats with new slimline models that take up less space. By placing the new seats 1″ closer together they are able to add an additional row to each plane. At a time when many Americans are growing wider, these seats are narrower at 17.3″. It’s already challenging to get in or out of your seat when the passenger in front of you is fully reclined. If they’re going to do this, they should only allow the seats in Economy Plus to recline. Along with the additional legroom, this would be selling point for more passengers to upgrade while making coach more tolerable.
